Buskers are welcomed at the Berwick Farmers & Craft Market, however they must meet the following eligibility criteria and comply with the rules and code of conduct at the end of this form.

There is no Fee charged by the Market, nor do we pay for Buskers to appear. You are welcome to attract donations in the normal manner from patrons and the selling of any merchandise that is pre-approved by the Market Manager.

RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT FOR BUSKERS

Please familiarise yourself with the Rules and Code of Conduct for Buskers performing at the Capital Region Farmers Market.

  1. Buskers maybe required to have their own Public liability insurance of $10 million (no episodic insurance available). (Not compulsory).
  2. Buskers may only perform between normal market operating times.
  3. Buskers will pay no fees at each event.
  4. Buskers must contact management by Wednesday prior to the Saturday they wish to perform. Only 2 acts may appear each event. Any busker appearing onsite without prior approval will not be able to perform.
  5. In the case where more than 2 acts request permission to appear at the one event, it will be left to management’s discretion as to who may perform.
  6. Buskers must perform at a good standard of playing / performing. If not, buskers may be asked to leave.
  7. Only persons 18 years or above may busk. All other age groups may apply but approval is at the discretion of the Market Manager.
  8. Amplifiers maybe allowed, however volume must be kept to a minimum.
  9. Entertainment must be suitable for a Farmers & Craft Market and family orientated setting.
  10. Songs performed must have no swearing or profanity.
  11. No buskers may perform outside of the designated Market Area, unless given specific approval by management.
  12. If selling goods (e.g. CD’s) buskers must obtain prior approval from the Market Manager.
  13. Buskers must not perform within 10 metres of a stallholder.
  14. Buskers must not encroach on any thoroughfare or cause disturbance to any patron, stallholder or passer-by.
  15. Buskers must abide by any instruction given by the Market Manager/s or an authorised Committee member. Any busker not abiding by those instructions will be asked to leave and will not be granted re-entry.
